SIDE QUEST!
Actually, I think this is side quest 872 for this year, but why get picky?
My shed of craftiness had/has a problem. We put in a mini split door heat and ac a few years ago. Unfortunately, neither of us had ever dealt with a mini split, before. The install guy said “clean the filters regularly, and it should be fine.”
Not so much.
Niagra Falls isn’t pouring out of it, but the condensation can be pretty intense.
I discovered that there’s a whole process by which one should regularly clean a mini split unit every year. The blades, the drainage tube, the whole thing. I was only cleaning off the little screen filters. In my defense, the operation manual for it doesn’t say anything about a yearly unit cleaning, either, so I don’t feel too bad about my ignorance.
However, this has also meant that I must radically re-arrange my shed of craftiness. Which I’m telling myself is a good thing, because it’s forcing me to evaluate some of the stuff I have stashed over the years and is it really worth keeping around? Perhaps this will help me reduce my personal clutter and distractions a little bit more.
I am still slowly plugging away at editing/formatting romance 2, but I don’t really have a timeline for it, yet.
