IWSG June 2023

Ah, summer. When all those glorious plans for office work productivity go out the window.

But I have made some plans to advance the process–one of my ids has agreed to teach me how to use Canva for graphics. Yes, I know there are tutorial videos out there, however, they suck for asking questions.

And this can be one of those “mommy and me” bonding experiences in which my child gets to lord their knowledge of technology over me as I learn how to make a book cover I actually like.

It sounds odd, I know, but I’ve also been going through what I thought were finished manuscripts to figure out how I want things formatted, and one more run through to catch those grammar ickies.

I’m figuring out expenses for publishing and establishing “an official business” and all that malarky. I’m looking at low-cost marketing ideas. discovering I have a question about this, and that, and that brings up another thing…

I know I could just push my writing out there with little concern on the back end, but I’ve seen that back-fire, and I’d rather not do that, thank-you.

So….What would I do if I stopped writing…

Well, if past experiences are any predictor of future behavior, then I would most likely play in the fiber and costuming arts, while berating myself for not writing.

Because I can mutli-task like that.

Crochet ? Tried that. Even more rubbish than my knitting, drawing, painting

The Viking ( met him, appropriately,on a Viking dig,) soon discovered that I owned a drill, but not a hair dryer. Shelves stay up, but how many does a house need ?
