January 2026 IWSG

January 7 question – Is there anything in your writing plans for 2026 that you are going to do that you couldn’t get done in 2025?

Oh, honey.

I’m still trying to figure out what I’m supposed to do for today. Planning for the future is a bit much, don’t you think?

I did publish my first book in 2025. I didn’t write much at all, so I should probably make myself do that. I started formatting my next book but didn’t get it done, so I guess I should do that as well.

I really need to get back into reading more, rather than eye-guzzeling “documentaries.”

I would like to have the rough draft of the third book in the fantasy series completed by December 2026, but my life responsibilities are demanding a great deal from me at the moment.

I should probably start posting on social media more consistently, since I’m doing the cheap version of marketing at the moment.

Too late to wish Happy New Year ? Tends to be said a bit warily now, uneasy shrug, maybe laughter..

Not being allowed to like anybody today , which isn’t fair and isn’t true. No idea why. Count me in.

Too many other responsibilities, ( and spiders) – plus, last autumn, I joined another writers’ group.means face to face, which will be good, and also, peer review, startin g with a 2,000 word sample, due Jan 15th. Have I written a word ? Of course not.

The spiders ? Quite an old house, about 400 years, they were here first, most UK spiders harmless, hate destroying their homes, legend of Robert the Bruce featured quite often in childhood.
