There are a number of people I know who rate as my own personal heroes. People who make me grit my teeth in bitter self-disappointment inspire me by their example. Some took their risks early in life. Others waited until they hit the wall and thought: “Well, why the hell not?”
These are not famous people. You probably have not seem them in the news except for an occasional local article.
Ryan Wanner – Owner; R&R Cafe and Golden Pine Coffee Roasters I’ve known Ryan since college. For as long as I’ve known him, his BIG DREAM was to own a coffee shop. Despite the ups and downs, despite difficulty and nay-sayers from every corner, he has always managed to keep moving forward to keep his dream alive. I would’ve buckled years ago, dealing with the pressure that he does day-to-day.
Mandy Goltz – Owner; BlackCat Witchcraft Mandy has been through a lot over the years. It was a big jump for her to start her own business, and
Glennda Woodke – Owner; Massage Therapy Works, INC Is there anything this woman can’t do? I don’t know. I’ve never seen her back away from any challenge. Even when she briefly doubted herself 20 years ago, she always smiled, rolled up her sleeves and got to work figuring out what was most important to her, and how to get it done.
Rowan Corbett – musician I knew him briefly in high school. Then and now music was his first love. A bit of a nomad at heart, and brave enough to step off any cliff that may be in his way.
